Register of record · Lagos NG
Inspection-ready,
twelve months of the year.
Every registrar knows the difference between a pile and a register. This one counts expiries down, stamps its own letters, and keeps the two names of every approval — quietly, and all year.
counts owner-verified from the register, October 2026.
How the register behaves
Six disciplines, drawn once each.
Days that count down
Every certificate counts to its date — amber at −30, red at 0 — and the renewal button rises exactly when needed.
Two names, one stamp
Maker–checker lanes with phone codes on sensitive actions. Nobody approves their own draft, ever.
A chain, not a file
Edits append; each links to the last. Silent corrections break the chain, visibly.
Four papers or none
License · roadworthiness · insurance-GIT · carriage permit. Missing one, the bus stays in the yard.
Letters that testify
Every PDF carries its content's fingerprint; change one byte and it stops being that letter.
Public, but bounded
Anyone may confirm a number's existence. Nothing beyond existence, ever.
Compliance, drawn as a picture
The proof sits where a reader can point.
- ◆Evidenced. The ring fills as papers arrive — not as weeks pass.
- ◆In flight. Amber kept calm, never shouted red at zero.
- ◆To collect. A named small number beats a vague “coverage %”.
// plate values illustrative — the dashboard binds the register's own percentages at runtime
Frequently asked, answered plainly
The questions every inspector asks first.
Three of them, here; the full eight live on the public questions page — no login required.
01What exactly happens when something expires?+
Amber thirty days out, red at zero, related vehicles can no longer be dispatched, and a renewal button appears beside the record — confirmed by a person, stamped with a name.
02Can records be edited backwards afterwards?+
Edits append; nothing overwrites. Every change links to the one before — a silent correction breaks the chain, visibly.
03Who outside the office can see anything?+
Only the public verify page: whether a number exists. Everything else stays behind staff logins, split by office role.
The register door
Welcome to the register. It’s quieter in here.
Staff sign-in for the admitted; public proof for everyone else. Two lanes, both paved, none blind.
